This year’s theme wasHerSTORY: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: Ancestors of Yesterday; Trailblazers of Today; and Future Student Leaders of Tomorrow. This theme encouraged students to discover African American Women who had STEAM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) by exploring Black Culture though their art work. Each student made an original art work inspired by the women that they picked. The art work was displayed at Palace Theatre’s Sackler Gallery, University Of Connecticut Stamford, and The Place Theater.
