“Women Belong – RBG” by Kimberly Saunders, 2020.

As Women's History Month comes to an end, please enjoy our Women’s Diversity ART Catalog through April 15. As a reminder, you can purchase art to adorn the walls of your corridors, offices, conference rooms and digital monitors too! Also, consider ordering mini-print keepsakes to support your firms’ recruiting, marketing and networking events. Our roster of women artists are available to participate in virtual ARTIST TALKs to discuss their art careers and with your Employee Resource Groups and others.

Next up is our GREEN Art Catalog to celebrate Sustainability Month, World Art Day

(April 15th) and Earth Day (April 22nd) as we aim to Restore Our Earth!

In addition to supporting the careers of our emerging artists, a portion of the proceeds is donated towards the PT Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Selects

Valerie A. Cooper

Exemplary Citizen of the Year!

The Notable North Atlantic Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. recently named Valerie A. Cooper Exemplary Citizen of the Year. Selected from numerous nominees in the region that comprises over 140 chapters from Maine to Washington D.C., Valerie was chosen for this award to recognize the significant, steady contributions she makes to her local chapter, Omicron Upsilon Omega, servicing Stamford/Norwalk, CT; to the sorority overall; and to the community at large.

“I consider it a blessing to be able to make an impact in the community through socially conscious and civic-minded action, using fine art as a vehicle to bridge gaps, lower barriers and make peaceful artistic statements.”

In addition, to the Exemplary Citizen Award, Valerie also claimed 1st Place Award for The Arts! Committee that she chairs for Omicron Upsilon Omega.

“I share this 1st Place Art Award with my chapter president, Lisa Bennett, and all of my chapter members. It takes a village to advance unique arts programming, and our small yet mighty chapter continues to get the job done!”

2nd Annual Diversity in PATENT LAW Gala

PT Foundation (Patent Quality Education and Training Foundation) recently held its 2nd Annual Diversity in Patent Law Scholarship Gala. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to help increase the representation of African-American Patent Lawyers. Picture That was thrilled to curate a HBCU Digital Art Collection with works from four HBCUs as well as SAS Corporation’s Art Collection.

Metamorphosis by Larry Poncho Brown

Over 200 companies, including law firms, tech corporations and law schools participated in the event. Attendees throughout the U.S. and abroad ordered outstanding legal-themed artwork from Picture That's exclusive art sales catalog, including Murgitroyd’s offices in Glasgow, Scotland. A portion of proceeds from art sales were allocated towards scholarships for students who pursue patent law careers and matriculate at one of six HBCU law schools.

Picture That handles everything from start to finish, including printing, fulfillment and mailing logistics.

"The packaging was great. There was no damage to the print. Also, based on when you mailed it, the print arrived a few days later. Thank you again for all your help with setting up the MLK event and your patience during this time. I know I can speak for Geneva and say we genuinely appreciate you."
